TEE Sterile Probe Cover
The Sterile Probe Cover project was brought to vehiCLE as an idea, and was designed and developed by our team into a functional prototype. The goal of the project was to create a functional prototype for testing purposes and to pitch to industry partners for partnership and licensing.Our design consists a snap fit adapter that attaches to the handle of the TEE Probe with an expandable, flexible tubing that is able to collapse during use and expand during transport. There is a lubrication vile that can be affixed to the distal end of the device to automatically lubricate the tip of the TEE Probe, and to protect the probe during transport.
The device is completely disposable to avoid need for sterilization. The device is design to be low cost and easy to install and use. Additionally, the device has been designed to be low profile and has an additional transducer holding feature which enables the device to be carried single handedly, and provides additional protection to the transducer.

The TEE Sterile Probe Cover is being reviewed by Tech Transfer and the inventor, and will be marketed to industry partners.
