Co-Operative Program
About the Program
The APT Center's Co-Operative Program offers undergraduate students a unique opportunity to get directly involved with clinical staff, engineers, and/or investigators in the support of innovation and research projects. Special attention is made to ensure that the APT Center’s needs align with the student’s interests, goals, and desired areas of learning. Co-op students dedicate 40 hours per week for up to 8 months working on various projects under the direction of APT Center engineers, primarily in background research, user requirements / design inputs, early prototype design, fabrication, summary of work documentation, and testing at Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center and Case Western Reserve University. The typical spring-summer program term commences in January and ends in August.
