Dr. Walker is Staff Neurologist and Director of the Daroff-Dell’Osso Ocular Motility Laboratory at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center and is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Case Western Reserve University. He specializes in neurological disorders that affect vision and balance.
Dr. Walker’s research focuses on the brain’s control of eye movements and vestibular reflexes. The goals are to understand why vision and balance are impaired in people with conditions such as ataxia, multiple sclerosis, and traumatic brain injury and to develop better treatments for these diseases. Current work includes using virtual reality and custom computer games to develop new tools for clinical diagnosis and rehabilitation.
