The BioMicroSystems Laboratory is located in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at Case Western Reserve University and is directed by Dr. Mohseni, an Affiliated APT investigator. This 600 sq.ft. testing lab focuses on developing key technologies, such as low-power, low-noise, integrated circuits and microsystems for micromachined sensors/actuators, in a variety of biomedical and neural engineering applications. It is equipped with electronic measurement instrumentation, work tables, desktop computers (Optiplex GX620), a printer and scanner. These computers have access to the Case Engineering Software utilities, which include HSPICE and Cadence circuit simulators, MATLAB, and L-Edit layout editor. Six dual-core Pentium-class desktop are equipped with high-performance National Instruments general-purpose data acquisition boards with built-in LabView for Windows and accessories, and used for testing, measurement, and characterization.
