Cody Dulaney
Cody Dulaney, Exercise Physiologist, is a PhD candidate in the School of Health Sciences at Kent State University studying Exercise Physiology. Cody’s mentor, Dr. John McDaniel, also conducts research through the APT Center and that is how he became involved with research at the VA. Cody completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Slippery Rock University in Exercise Science. His research focuses on muscle and cardiorespiratory function in individuals with spinal cord injury. Currently, he is part of the Cooperative Studies Program at LSCVAMC training individuals with spinal cord injury to use an exoskeleton.
Tyler Singer
Tyler Singer has a B.S. in Exercise Science (2015) and an M. S. in Kinesiology (2016) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is currently employed by Kent State University as a Teaching and Research Graduate Assistant while completing his PhD in Exercise Physiology. Currently, Tyler is part of the Cooperative Studies Program at LSCVAMC training individuals with spinal cord injury to use an exoskeleton. He is also involved with research projects involving the use of neural stimulation to provide individuals with spinal cord injury the opportunity to exercise, as well as implementing single leg cycling for exercise in individuals with hemiparesis.
Jennifer Zindle
Jennifer Zindle received a B.S. in Psychology, with minors in Neuroscience and Biology, from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea OH in 2010. Since then she has been working at the Tissue and Biocompatibility Laboratories of the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center supporting pre-clinical trials researching the physiological mechanisms of electrical stimulation on wound healing. Ms. Zindle has worked on experiments involving both ischemic and infected wounds, primarily collecting, processing, and analyzing samples to provide study data.
