Tissue Health Research Laboratory

Located in the basement of the LSCVAMC

Kath Bogie's lab at CASEThe Tissue Health Research laboratory at the LSCVAMC, and under the direction of Dr. Kath Bogie provides facilities for clinical research and assessment related to the treatment and prevention of chronic wounds. Facilities at LSCVAMC include a lab that is equipped for clinical studies, including both study participant screening and assessment. The instrumentation available in the laboratory includes Radiometer TCM blood gas monitors, LaserFlo laser Doppler blood flowmetry, and interface pressure measurement systems. A Hammamatsu Niro-200 Monitor near-infrared spectroscopy system is also available. Patient transfer equipment includes a ceiling hoist for patient bed-to-bed transfers. Computers are available in the laboratory for clinical and experimental work.
